Information we collect
Outerview may collect account information, search activity, uploaded contribution files, report descriptions, device metadata, and location-region signals used to personalize search context.
Contribution metadata may include file names, file types, file sizes, upload timestamps, storage object identifiers, and processing status. Search metadata may include queries, result identifiers, approximate regions, and performance diagnostics.
How we use information
We use information to operate search, index contributed physical media, improve product quality, prevent abuse, respond to reports, and communicate service updates.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to measure coverage, evaluate retrieval quality, develop benchmark features, and understand which regions or physical-world categories need more representative data.
Location and region signals
Outerview may use approximate country or region signals from hosting infrastructure to show localized defaults and country selectors. We do not require precise device GPS access for basic search unless a future feature asks for permission in context.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal information. We may share data with service providers that help us host, store, secure, analyze, or deliver the service. We retain information only as long as needed for legitimate product, legal, and security purposes.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure, so users should keep account credentials confidential.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, deletion, or export of your account data, subject to applicable law and operational limits.
Children and international use
Outerview is not intended for children under 13. If you use the service from outside the United States, you understand that information may be processed in countries where our providers and infrastructure operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Outerview evolves. When changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice through the product or other appropriate channels.
