Most of what's worth seeing in the world stays hidden simply because no one had a way to find it. Turning the unfamiliar into something you can picture yourself visiting is what gets people outside and curious about places again.

The people building and maintaining the physical world, on a job site, a construction project, anywhere progress has to be tracked, need more than a picture of what a place used to look like. They need to know how far something has come, how much has changed, what's actually true on the ground right now. We're building toward understanding physical environments well enough to measure them, not just show them.

Wildfires, floods, and storms get worse in the time between when a condition changes on the ground and when anyone notices. Seeing that change as it happens, not after, is what lets a community respond in time instead of only recovering afterward.

Physical services today live in separate systems: one to find something, another to book it, another to confirm it actually happened. We're working toward a future where discovering a service, using it, and confirming it was done all happen in the same place, so acting on the physical world is as easy as looking at it.

Information about the world is only useful if you can trust it's still true. Beyond confirming one thing in the moment, we want the broader record of what's happening in the world to be something anyone can check for themselves, rather than take on faith.
